SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — I am pleased to present the Annual Report of the Assessor’s office for 2026-27. This report provides the latest data regarding property values in San Luis Obispo County and highlights information that impacts the local economy and our quality of life.
Each year my office produces the annual assessment roll. This listing of all taxable properties provides the information needed for the property taxes that support schools, public safety, and other important services. This year the total assessment roll increased by $3.6 billion for a total annual assessment roll value of $83,660,781,638. After exemptions were applied, the net assessed value of our county is more than $81 billion. The annual increase of 4.37% reflects steady, moderate growth that is consistent with the overall economy of the county. Our assessed value growth is also consistent with the changes reported by other counties in California.
