OXNARD — Pipiripau will host the fourth annual Panteón Fest on Saturday, October 17, at Heritage Square in downtown Oxnard from 1:00 to 9:00 PM. This year’s festival pays homage to Chespirito, the beloved Mexican comedian and creator of El Chavo del Ocho and El Chapulín Colorado.
“Panteón Fest is about bringing our community together to celebrate our culture, remember where we come from, and create something meaningful for the next generation,” said co-founders Rolando and Heriberto Rubalcava.
Panteón Fest brings traditional Día de los Muertos elements to a contemporary, family friendly festival featuring live music, traditional dance, theatrical performances, community altars, a nighttime procession, a Catrín & Catrina Contest, an art exhibition, and much more.
