VENTURA — The Workforce Committee of the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging’s (VCAAA) Advisory Council will host a free presentation titled “Get That Job!” on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Goebel Adult Community Center in Thousand Oaks.
The presentation, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., is aimed at older adults who want to find a job but aren’t sure where to start in today’s job market.
“Older adults bring incredible experience to the workforce, but the tools for finding a job have changed,” committee chair Stephanie Belding said. “Our goal is to close that gap with added knowledge and confidence.”
Attendees are invited to bring a laptop or tablet, as hands-on help searching for jobs and completing online applications will be provided as time allows. Refreshments will be provided by Moving Seniors Forward’s Community Resource Group.
Attendees must register for the presentation by visiting the Goebel Center’s front desk, calling 805-381-2744 or emailing gacc@crpd.org. Space is limited to the first 40 people who sign up.
