Don’t worry, we won’t be starting every comedy show with a PowerPoint presentation. Next slide please.
Lachlan Broke a Leg…
…literally and figuratively. Lachlan Patterson’s cast and crutches were a pre-existing condition, but as they say, the show must go on, and it did not disappoint. On September 22nd, our showcase, Good Company, hit the Rubicon Theatre stage with host Lachlan Patterson and four formidable comedians: Russell Peters, Ian Edwards, Ali Macofsky and Kirk Fox.
This second show not only sold out, we had a waiting list of 20 people. So we’re 2 for 2. Eat your heart out, Dodgers.
We’re learning from each show and next time we’ll experiment with a standby line and the ability to sell tickets at the door (You can avoid this uncertainty if you buy tickets early!).
The night raised over $5,000 for Make-A-Wish, which grants wishes to kids with critical medical conditions right here on the Central Coast. That’s the part that matters most. Laughter generating positive outcomes for people who need them.
