Nominations Close June 19 for 73rd Annual Oxnard Community & Business Awards

OXNARD — Nominations for the 2023 Oxnard Community & Business Awards are being accepted until Monday, June 19. Now in its 73rd year, the West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA) hosts the annual awards to recognize the people, businesses and organizations that make Oxnard a wonderful community in which to live, work and play.

Nominations are open to the public. You do not have to be a WVCBA member to submit nominations or win an award. The online nomination form with award descriptions is available at: https://bit.ly/oxnardnoms23. It also is available as a PDF and can be emailed to the WVCBA or sent by regular mail. The nine categories open for nominations recognize Oxnard’s best-of-the-best:

  • Distinguished Citizen
  • Volunteer
  • Young Professional
  • Entrepreneur
  • Large Business
  • Small Business
  • Nonprofit
  • Best Place to Work
  • Community Influencer

A selection committee composed of event sponsors reviews nominations and chooses the winners. In addition, the WVCBA Executive Committee of the Board of Directors awards the Oxnard Trophy to an individual, business or organization for bringing recognition to the city and bettering the community.

Winners will be announced in early July and celebrated at a luncheon on Thursday, August 17, at Oxnard’s historic Heritage Square from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
