Explore how water and energy choices can curb the carbon footprint of our buildings.
Water and energy are deeply connected in the built environment. The choices we make — from efficient fixtures to recycled water systems — can reduce resource use while lowering the carbon impacts of building construction.
Join the Tri-County Regional Energy Network (3C-REN), the American Institute of Architects Santa Barbara Chapter, the Central Coast Green Building Council, and CEC for an evening focused on the water-energy nexus and practical strategies for carbon-smart projects.
Michelle Zimney of In Balance Green Consulting and Natasha Elliott of Sweet Smiling Landscape Design will share approaches for efficient indoor fixtures and equipment, water-wise landscape design, graywater systems, and recycled water. They’ll explore how these strategies connect, where they can have the greatest impact, and how they can be applied across a range of building and landscape projects.
After the conversation, stick around for drinks and networking with building, design, and sustainability professionals from across the Central Coast.
