| Hi Friend,
This fall, we have the power to push back against cuts to essential services, address the skyrocketing cost of living, and respond to the fear our communities have faced at the hands of ICE and the federal government over the past year and a half. To do so, we have to make sure people get out and make their voices heard at the ballot box.
CAUSE is a founding member of Unidos 805, a coalition dedicated to building an intergenerational movement that creates lasting political, social, environmental, and economic change across the Central Coast. Together, we’re growing the collective power of our organizations, our leaders, and our communities to shape a future where everyone can thrive.
With a major election just months away, Unidos 805 is hiring phone bankers and canvassers to help build the people-powered movement needed to advance policies rooted in our communities’ values.
In this role, you’ll connect with voters, build meaningful conversations around the issues that matter most to working families – and help strengthen a multiracial base of community members ready to make their voices heard at the ballot box and beyond.
As a phone banker and canvasser, you will:
- Engage voters through door-to-door conversations and phone banking
- Listen to what matters most to the community members and talk about how collective action and voting can create meaningful change
- Encourage civic participation and help grow a stronger base of engaged community leaders
- Record voter contact information and share daily progress with the Unidos team
This is a part-time position (20-25 hours per week) for approximately 4.5 weeks, Monday through Friday, at $23 per hour. Learn more and apply here.
If you’re passionate about your community, enjoy connecting with people, and believe in the power of grassroots organizing, we’d love to hear from you. Join us in building a stronger, more engaged Central Coast where our communities have the power to shape the decisions that affect our lives.
Together, we can build people power – one conversation at a time.
In unity and action,
Lucas Zucker and Hazel Davalos
