OJAI — Internationally recognized Southern California jazz vocalist Toni Jannotta will perform with her jazz trio at Sam’s Place in Ojai on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The evening will feature Jannotta’s signature vocalese style, timeless jazz standards, original compositions, and engaging storytelling.
The concert comes on the heels of the release of her new music video, ‘How’ve You Been?’, which tells the true story of a romance that began in Topanga Canyon in 1994, endured nearly three decades of separation, and ultimately culminated in marriage in Ojai. The performance celebrates themes of resilience, hope, and enduring love through music.
Joining Jannotta on stage are acclaimed guitarist Brad Rabuchin, whose credits include performances with Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, and bassist Hank Van Sickle, known for his work with Taj Mahal and Robben Ford.
Throughout her career, Jannotta has released acclaimed recordings including Just Jazz (featuring Ernie Watts), Jazz at the Ranch, and Is It Magic? She also produced the socially conscious documentary Voices of the Homeless. Her multimedia children’s book and companion CD, My Little Heart, Ruthie, recently received a prestigious Global Music Award.
