LifeLine Medical Transport in Ventura now part of Global Medical Response

FIDDLERS GREEN, Colo. — Gold Coast Ambulance, a Global Medical Response (GMR) ground medical transport company, announced that it has finalized its purchase agreement with LifeLine Medical Transport in Ventura, California, on May 31.
Under the terms of the agreement, all LifeLine employees and operations will now function under GMR’s Gold Coast Ambulance operations — a subsidiary of GMR’s American Medical Response (AMR) company. LifeLine, privately owned and operated for more than 80 years, provides emergent and non-emergent ambulance services for Ventura County, including the City of Ventura and parts of the Ojai and Santa Clarita Valleys.
Jeff Winter, operations manager, will continue to lead the LifeLine operations in Ventura. Winter is a valued member of the community and has a depth of experience and knowledge that is unmatched. In addition, this operation will also be supported by Gold Coast Ambulance and AMR Regional Director of Operations, Jeremy Shumaker. Shumaker offers extensive EMS experience and operational knowledge of Ventura County.
“Lifeline Medical Transport has provided the Ojai Valley and Ventura County with superior service for decades,” Shumaker said. “We are honored that Steve Frank has placed his trust in Gold Coast Ambulance to continue providing this high level of service. We are committed to ensuring that our new combined company will always be there when our community is in need.”
Randy Owen, CEO for Global Medical Response, said the addition of LifeLine to the Global Medical Response family of companies is a proud moment for Ventura County. “Through this agreement, a company that has proudly served Ventura County for more than 80 years will continue its legacy of service and excellence, while expanding access to national resources, investment and infrastructure.”
