Santa Paula Art Museum — Time running out to purchase raffle tickets

Art creates community.

This is last call to purchase raffle tickets for your chance to win one of two original paintings by Santa Paula’s most famous artist, Jessie Arms Botke! Purchase raffle tickets on our website. Raffle winners will be chosen and notified by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16. The raffle is part of the Museum’s 10th Annual Fine Art Auction Fundraiser, which is being hosted entirely online this year.

There’s also still time to bid on our 20 beautiful auction artworks. Browse and bid on Bidsquare.com. The online auction will close one artwork every minute beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2020. All proceeds from the auction and raffle benefit the Santa Paula Art Museum, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Art To-Go Bags Giveaway

Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.

The Santa Paula Art Museum will be giving away free Art To-Go Bags on Saturday, November 21 via a drive-thru only pick up in the parking lot behind the Museum starting at 10:00 a.m. (while supplies last – limit 5 bags per family). This month’s bag celebrates art and science with agriculture inspired art projects. The Museum partnered with the local SEEAG organization, which educates students about the farm origins of their food. Inside the bag, kids will find supplies and instructions for butterfly paper garlands, bee watercolor paintings, lemon printmaking, an organic flower seed starter kit, honey sticks, and more! This month’s projects are specially sponsored by Peach Hill Farms in Moorpark, and Limoneira.

Guided Tours: Inspiration and Influence with Duane Dammeyer and Rima Muna

Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 1:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m.; and 3:00 p.m.

Enjoy a 45-minute tour of the current exhibition Inspiration and Influence with artists Duane Dammeyer and Rima Muna as your guides. Experience the exhibit alongside its creators and learn about the process and meaning behind each artwork from the artists themselves. Guided tours will be available at 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21. Space is extremely limited so as to maintain social distancing between all visitors. Reservations are required.

Art Class: Kids’ Ceramics Camp (Ages 8-13)

Monday, December 7, 2020 to Friday, December 11, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Let your kids get their hands dirty in our weeklong Kids’ Ceramics Camp in December. Kids will learn basic skills for hand-building and glazing ceramics to create multiple projects, including holiday ornaments! The cost of this weeklong camp is $150.00 per child for all five sessions. All skill levels and all students ages 8 to 13 are welcome. Space is extremely limited as class sizes are being kept small to maintain social distancing.

Visiting Guidelines

For the safety and comfort of all of our guests and volunteers, everyone inside the Museum will be required to wear a face covering for the duration of their visit. Visitors must sanitize their hands immediately upon entry and maintain 6 feet of distance between themselves and any person not in their party. Persons visiting the Museum as a group are limited to no more than 6 persons in their party. Museum staff and volunteers will not be handling cash at this time (only credit or debit cards will be accepted). The Santa Paula Art Museum is adhering to all health screening procedures and cleaning and disinfecting protocols set forth by the County of Ventura, California Department of Public Health, and the CDC.

The Museum will be closed on Thanksgiving.
