The economy, immigration and other hot button issues continue to impact the perceptions Latinos have when supporting Republicans or Democrats, according to a recent poll. Meanwhile, in a demographic trend that could be repeated nationwide, a recent U.S. Census report shows the impact a growing Latino population is having on national elections.
Latino registered voters had favorable opinions of President Obama with 70 percent of Hispanics showing approval of the job the President is doing while 33 percent disapprove of his performance. However, only 55 percent will vote or are leaning to vote for Obama in the upcoming 2012 election, according to a poll by ImpreMedia and Latino Decisions released on www.businesswire.com.
