SANTA PAULA — The City of Santa Paula is pleased to announce a major investment in the community’s recreational future with the allocation of $1.5 million in state funding for Phase II of the Santa Paula Sports Park Complex.
The allocation, championed by Senate President pro Tempore Monique Limón, will help move the City closer to completing the next phase of improvements and expand recreational opportunities for Santa Paula’s residents. The new funding builds upon previous state support also graciously secured with Limón’s assistance for sports field lighting at the complex.
Phase II of the Sports Park Complex is planned to bring a wide range of new amenities to the community, such as restrooms, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a soccer pitch, and additional parking.
“We are humbled and extremely grateful for the opportunity to improve and enhance the amenities for the Santa Paula Sports Park Complex, a location where our community can call Santa Paula home,” said Mayor Carlos Juarez. “Our Sports Park is a place where families gather, children play, seniors socialize, and everyone can enjoy all that the park has to offer. This funding will provide the city with the ability to improve the park’s overall experience. We are incredibly grateful to Senate President Pro Tempore Monique Limon for her continued support of Santa Paula and for helping to secure resources that will benefit our community for years to come.”
As planning for Phase II continues, the City will focus on advancing the project and preparing for the next stages of development. Updates on the project’s progress, anticipated timeline, and milestones will be shared as they become available.
