First Thursdays Food Trucks rolls back into Plaza Park on April 2nd, launching the 2026 season with an all-out, big hair, new wave, neon night, ’80s-throwback party featuring live music by The Beta Macks. The food truck lineup is a savory and sweet fleet of the best mobile eats in the 805. And don’t forget to hit up the makers market – imagine it like The Galleria Mall – you’ll see all your friends there! Food Truck lineup
The Downtown Oxnard Farmers’ Market is bringing back a perennial fan favorite – the Jelly Bean Counting Contest on Thurs, April 2nd. Hop on over to the Downtowners’ Info Booth anytime between 9 am and 12:45 pm to record your best guess on how many beans are in the jar. The closest guess wins a basket of fresh market goods—filled with seasonal produce and more!
This one-day-only workshop is hosted by Oxnard artist Miranda Magana @miramusette, now living in Tokyo and leading junk journaling and texture-hunting art experiences. Learn how to make your own zine and stamps, and leave with your own hand-carved stamp and a one-of-a-kind zine filled with your prints. No crafting experience necessary! All materials and light refreshments included. ?$20 donation suggested.
In celebration of National Pet Day, we’re running a Social Media “pet project” to feature the furry, feathered, and four-legged friends that are so much a part of daily life in Downtown Oxnard. Send us a favorite photo or short video of your companion animal enjoying Downtown spaces, and we’ll make them famous on our @downtownoxnard pages.
To participate, submit your photo/video by April 11th to: media@downtownoxnard.org or DM us @downtownoxnard on IG or FB.
