Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Government & Disability Summit, taking place September 1–3, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Hotel.

| One County, One Book
A
Ventura County Library invites the community to join this year’s One County One Book program, featuring bestselling author Lisa See’s Daughters of the Sun and Moon, a novel where the main characters find their fates intertwined in a hidden chapter of California history testing what it takes to survive and endure.
Copies will be available at all Ventura County Library branches in late August or early September. You can pick one up and join fellow readers throughout the county for a shared reading experience. The program culminates on Saturday, October 10, with a special author talk with Lisa See at the Museum of Ventura County — a chance to meet the author in person and celebrate the power of reading as a community.

| Ventura County Parks Launches New Reservation System
Ventura County Parks has launched a new online reservation system designed to make planning your next park visit easier and more convenient.
The updated platform includes a longer 180-day booking window for Rincon Parkway campsites, new online self-service options for Day Use and Community Center reservations, and online reservations for eligible Distinguished Veterans.
The new reservation website is available for stays beginning December 1, 2026, while the current reservation system will continue to be used for stays through November 30,
2026.

Expecting and new dads are invited to learn from experienced fathers during this interactive workshop.
