SANTA MARIA — Allan Hancock College’s fine arts students will showcase their creative work during the Fine Arts Student Show, on view through May 7 at the Ann Foxworthy Gallery on the college’s Santa Maria campus.
The exhibition brings together work from students across a variety of disciplines and media, highlighting the creativity, technical skill, and diverse perspectives emerging from Hancock’s fine arts programs. An opening reception will be held April 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
“The work on view reflects the imagination and skill of our fine arts students. Each piece offers a glimpse into a creative perspective. A perspective that is not only learning about art, but actively shaping visual culture,” said Elizabeth Russell, Foxworthy Gallery co-director. “It is a privilege to share our student’s talent with our community.”
Hancock offers a range of degrees and certificates across its fine arts programs, including studio art, graphic design, photography, dance, drama, animation and game art, and more. These programs help students develop both technical skills and critical thinking, preparing them for careers in the arts and design, as well as continued study at four-year universities and art schools.
The Ann Foxworthy Gallery is located in Building L-South on Hancock’s Santa Maria campus at 800 S. College Drive. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
