VENTURA — The City of Ventura invites community members to its 2026 State of the City Address and Open House on Wednesday, September 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Ventura City Hall, located at 501 Poli Street. This free, family-friendly event offers residents a unique opportunity to connect directly with City leadership, staff, and services.

“We’re excited to welcome our community back to City Hall for an evening that celebrates Ventura and the people who make it such a special place,” said Mayor Dr. Jeannette Sánchez-Palacios. “Together, we’ll reflect on our progress, celebrate what makes our community strong, and look ahead with excitement to all that’s still to come.”

The evening kicks off with an Open House and Resource Fair from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., featuring interactive booths, access to City services, and updates on ongoing initiatives. Highlights include live cultural performances, Student Art Show, a Touch-a-Truck experience, and a K9 and Mounted Unit meet and greet with the Ventura Police Department.

At 5:00 p.m., the program will begin with a ceremony by the Ventura Fire Department’s Honor Guard followed by welcome remarks from City Manager Bill Ayub. Mayor Dr. Jeannette Sánchez-Palacios will then deliver the 2026 State of the City Address, highlighting the City’s financial outlook, progress on City Council’s strategic priorities, and recent accomplishments.

The address will be live streamed on the City’s YouTube channel atyoutube.com/cityofventura. Spanish-language materials will be available on the City’s website during the event.
