Stuff the Bus 2026 will be launching in less than one week. The Stuff the Bus backpack and school supply drive provides essential school supplies to local youth experiencing homelessness. Our official launch date will be Monday, June 1st, in honor of International Children’s Day. In Ventura County, approximately 9,500 school-age children have been identified as homeless. This year, our goal is to provide more than 3,000 backpacks to support these students as they start the school year.
You can help pave the path to academic success for a child from a family experiencing homelessness. Help us fill backpacks with school supplies by supporting our online Roonga school supply drive which runs until July 15th. Please share this link or the QR code above with friends, family members, and co-workers. All supplies purchased through Roonga will be directly shipped to United Way.
Support Stuff the Bus by organizing a collection drive at your workplace, place of worship, or local community center. United Way provides all materials for the collection drive and arranges to pick up donations at the conclusion of the campaign.
