Designed for highly motivated students, the first of its kind program in the UC system provides undergraduates with a clearly structured pathway to becoming credentialed K-12 teachers.
Set to graduate this week after overcoming a life-altering accident and addiction, Smith also has received the 2024 Alyce Marita Whitted Memorial Award, which recognizes a nontraditional student’s endurance, persistence and courage.
DEVIATE, representing over 75 student works, celebrates the conceptual and material divergences that students often take during their art education. An opening reception will be held at the Art, Design & Architecture Museum at 3:30 p.m.
