SANTA BARBARA — Santa Barbara breast surgeon Rosa Choi, MD, has joined Cottage Health to launch the Cottage Breast Health Clinic, located at 2400 Bath Street, Suite 102, in Santa Barbara.

Dr. Choi has more than two decades of experience in the community as a board-certified surgeon providing specialized care for patients with breast cancer, benign breast conditions and other breast health concerns.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue caring for patients through Cottage Health and to build a program centered on personalized breast care,” said Dr. Choi. “It is important for patients to understand their diagnosis, feel informed about their treatment options and have confidence in the decisions they make about their breast health.”

The Cottage Breast Health Clinic reflects Cottage Health’s broader commitment to expanding women’s health services through the Cottage Center for Women’s Health.

At the Cottage Breast Health Clinic, patients have access to surgical consultations for breast cancer treatment planning and interpretation of benign breast biopsy results. Consultations are also available abnormal physical breast exams and abnormal imaging findings identified through mammograms, ultrasounds or MRIs. The clinic also offers breast cancer risk assessments and referrals for genetic counseling and testing.

Certified in breast ultrasound through the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Dr. Choi also performs ultrasound-guided breast biopsies in the office when appropriate, helping reduce delays in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Dr. Choi earned her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine and completed her surgical training at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has served on the teaching faculty of the Cottage Health Department of Surgery since 2001 and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
