Fans of the spooky season will love our October events and classes! Don’t miss our Halloween-themed Free Family Day, creative classes inspired by ghosts, skulls, and haunted houses, and more frightfully fun ways to celebrate fall.

New Exhibition

From the Collection: De Colores

On view now through November 29

In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we’ve installed De Colores, an exhibition of works by Latino artists from the Museum’s permanent collection, including Cesar Aldana, Carlos Almaraz, Sergio Hernández, Gilbert “Magu” Luján, Miguel Ángel González Mesillas, Xavier Montes, Guillermo Silva Santamaria, and Eloy Torrez.

Free Family Day: Halloween Crafts

Saturday, October 4, from 12 PM to 3 PM

Free for all ages

Paint your own mini pumpkin, mix up a batch of slime, create a paper pop-up haunted house, and piece together a creature puppet à la Dr. Frankenstein! Plus, work alongside Ventura artist Andrea Vargas on her community art project, Hoot in the Forest, exploring our local ecosystems.

Our October Free Family Day event is sponsored by Gold Coast Health Plan, the Smith-Hobson Foundation Fund at VCCF, and Trader Joe’s.
