Last month, PSHH students participated in College Signing Day, an event where their friends, family, and educators celebrated next steps into higher education. Congratulations to our 60 hardworking students who graduated this year!
Dear Friend,Robust and joint leadership were on full display this past month as the executive team and department heads gathered to chart a course for the organization’s next five years.
Surveys went out to every team member in the organization and to a broad coalition of stakeholders who provided the data for this preliminary phase of strategic planning and for the rich topics of conversation which took place.
The first deep dives and preliminary analysis show People’s Self-Help Housing to be soundly on mission, capable to navigate potential uncertainty in the development and services landscape, and positioned to pre-equip our teams for the terrain ahead.
Several more planning phases are calendared between now and the end of the year, after which I look forward to sharing with you People’s Self-Help Housing’s strategic plan for 2025-29.

Ensuing Resident Support
After the recent loss of a loved one, a grieving resident took time off work to care for her family. She was unsure how to afford rent and other essentials. Thanks to her PSHH social worker, she connected with the Bloom Again Foundation. They provided $6,000 to assist her and her family with critical needs. This support allowed them to be present and work through their grief together. We celebrate this resident’s strength and the impact of community support.
