OJAI — The Humane Society of Ventura County (HSVC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Pfahler as its new Director of Development. In this role, Pfahler will lead HSVC’s fundraising efforts, cultivate relationships with donors and supporters, and secure the resources needed to advance HSVC’s mission to provide lifesaving care and services for animals in need..

Pfahler brings more than 10 years of experience in development and fundraising to HSVC. Most recently, she served as director of alumni relations and annual giving at the University of Redlands, where she led a collaborative strategy uniting alumni relations and annual giving efforts, and provided strategic direction to the university’s alumni board. Prior to that role, she served as the university’s director of annual giving, overseeing a team focused on achieving fundraising and alumni participation goals

After spending much of her career in higher education, Pfahler made the decision to pursue a role that better aligned with her lifelong passion for animals and community impact.

“I’m truly excited for the opportunity to be part of HSVC. I look forward to supporting and building upon the incredible work the organization is already doing,” said Jessica Pfahler.

A former military kid who spent her high school years in Ventura, Pfahler has since returned to the community she has always considered home, settling back in with her two children, four dogs and a cat.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jessica to the HSVC team,” said Daniel Roselle, HSVC’s Executive Director. “Her extensive fundraising background, combined with her genuine passion for animals and this community, makes her an incredible addition as we continue our mission to provide lifesaving care to Ventura County’s animals.”
