El Estudio y Plan de Acción sobre Vivienda para Trabajadores Agrícolas del Condado de Ventura, Sesiones de comentarios
The Ventura County Farmworker Housing Study and Action Plan is a collaborative, countywide effort launched by the County of Ventura in partnership with House Farm Workers!, designed to understand and address the urgent housing needs of the county’s farmworker community – needs shaped by long-standing shortages, rising housing costs, and the essential role farm workers play in sustaining the region’s agricultural economy.
El Estudio y Plan de Acción sobre Vivienda para Trabajadores Agrícolas del Condado de Ventura es una iniciativa colaborativa a nivel de todo el condado puesta en marcha por el Condado de Ventura en asociación con House Farm Workers!, diseñada para comprender y abordar las urgentes necesidades de vivienda de la comunidad de trabajadores agrícolas del condado —necesidades determinadas por la escasez de larga data, el aumento de los costos de la vivienda y el papel esencial que desempeñan los trabajadores agrícolas en el sostenimiento de la economía agrícola de la región.

The project team has conducted extensive outreach, including employer and farmworker surveys during phases 2 and 3, stakeholder interviews, and focus groups, culminating in a robust, data-driven understanding of both challenges and opportunities for improving conditions, which is now available for public review.

El equipo del proyecto ha realizado una amplia labor de divulgación, que incluyó encuestas a empleadores y trabajadores agrícolas durante las fases 2 y 3, entrevistas a partes interesadas y grupos de discusión, lo que culminó en una comprensión sólida y basada en datos tanto de los desafíos como de las oportunidades para mejorar las condiciones, la cual ya está disponible para su revisión pública.
