SANTA PAULA — In advance of the Fourth of July Holiday and Fireworks event, the City of Santa Paula and the Santa Paula Police Department are announcing schedule and guidelines for those making plans to attend the fireworks show at Santa Paula Creek Sports Park at Harvest.

Please be aware, as with any community fireworks show, there will be extended traffic delays upon exiting the event for those who choose to drive a vehicle and park it in spaces available at Santa Paula Creek Sports Park.

Please review the below information and guidelines for the 4th of July Fireworks event at Santa Paula Creek Sports Park:

Event Information

• Parking Lots will open at 2:00 p.m.

o This includes parking lots and designated overflow parking

o Curbside parking allowed in available designated parking locations

• Food Trucks will be on site 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

• Live Music at the amphitheater from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• For kids Jolly Jumps, City Corps Wagon Train, Face Painting 4pm – 8pm

• Fireworks show scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m.

• NO public consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted anywhere on park property

• NO Drones are permitted for the safety of fireworks and attendees

• NO RV Parking is permitted

• FOR PEDESTRIAN SAFETY: NO scooters, skateboards, bikes, e-bikes, electric scooters or any motorized vehicles allowed inside the park areas

• EZ Ups type canopies are permitted, but NO stakes for canopies allowed (use canopy weights) Parking Guidelines

• Expect extended traffic delays upon exiting the Fireworks Event

• Posted “NO PARKING” areas will be strictly enforced, including the immediate removal of any vehicles blocking roadways, parking on sidewalks, roundabouts, street corners, intersections, driveways, etc.

• Do not possess or use any type of fireworks, including illegal and “safe and sane fireworks.’ Violators will be issued $1,000 administrative citations or may be arrested for possession of dangerous fireworks

• Any vehicles blocking roadways in lanes of traffic will be declared a traffic safety hazard and will subject to citation and immediate removal by tow

Please remember, our community is vulnerable to wildfires due to the terrain. Please observe our collaborative effort with your commitment in protecting our homes and businesses from unnecessary fires. Fireworks of any kind including “Safe and Sane” and “dangerous fireworks” defined by statues are illegal to possess or use in the City of Santa Paula.

We are working with our partners at the Ventura County Fire Department to be vigilant in the community, on the lookout for those setting off fireworks. Those who are found in possession of fireworks are subject to administrative citations for municipal code violations and even arrest for misdemeanor or felony violations of the California Health and Safety Code and Penal Code. Those cited or arrested for violations will be subject to fines starting at $1,000 for municipal code violations or jail time and prosecution for the state code violations.
