Sip your way through Ventura County—and support the land you love
VENTURA — What if your next favorite local drink could lead you to a new favorite trail? Ventura Land Trust (VLT) is inviting the community to sip, explore, and give back with its new Lands & Libations Passport, a local adventure that brings together Ventura County’s craft beverage scene and the natural places that make this region special.
Featuring participating local wineries, breweries, and distilleries, the passport encourages residents and visitors to discover the people and places behind Ventura County’s beverage culture while exploring the landscapes that define the region. Passport holders can visit participating businesses to enjoy a featured tasting flight or pint, collect stamps along the way, and learn about a nearby Ventura Land Trust preserve.
The idea is simple: Drink local. Explore local. Protect local.
“Ventura County is home to an incredible community of local beverage makers, as well as beautiful natural spaces that deserve to be protected for generations to come,” said Jessica Dias, Development Director of Ventura Land Trust. “Lands & Libations is a fun way to bring those two things together. We hope people discover a new favorite local spot, spend more time exploring the outdoors, and learn how they can help protect the landscapes that make our community so special.”
Proceeds from the Lands & Libations Passport will benefit Ventura Land Trust’s work to permanently protect and care for open space, wildlife habitat, waterways, and scenic landscapes throughout Ventura County. Since 2003, VLT has worked to conserve the region’s natural lands, restore native plant communities, protect wildlife, and connect the community with the outdoors.
Each participating business will be featured in the passport alongside information about a nearby VLT preserve, offering an opportunity to pair a local tasting with an outdoor adventure. Whether discovering a new brewery, sampling a local wine, or planning a day exploring Ventura County’s trails, passport holders can experience the region in a new way while contributing to its conservation.
Lands & Libations is designed for anyone who wants to support local businesses, spend time outdoors, and help protect the natural beauty of Ventura County. It’s an invitation to explore close to home, connect with the community, and make every stop count for conservation.
Passports are available for $50 on Ventura Land Trust’s website. For more information about participating businesses, passport details, and Ventura Land Trust’s conservation work, visit https://www.venturalandtrust.org/passport.
