We’re feeling lucky at the Museum in March!

We’re channeling Santa Paula artists Jessie and Cornelis Botke in the photo above as we dance into a brand-new month at the Santa Paula Art Museum. Join us for a green-themed Free Family Day on Sunday, March 1, and mark your calendars for the premiere of Cornelis Botke: Painter of the Western Scene on Saturday, March 14!

Santa Paula artist Cornelis Botke (1887-1954) is best known as an etcher and as a supporting figure in his wife Jessie’s celebrated career, but painting was his first love. This exhibition presents 50 rarely seen oil and watercolor paintings, offering a fresh look at Botke’s remarkable talent and artistic legacy. Cornelis Botke: Painter of the Western Scene will be on view from March 14, 2026, to July 12, 2026.

Free for all ages

Our March Free Family Daycelebrates St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) and Earth Day (April 22) with nature-inspired, hands-on art activities for all ages. Create shamrock bird feeders, gnome garden markers, marbled paper, and more. Admission is free, all are welcome, and all materials are provided. (Please note that there will be no Free Family Day in April in observance of Easter Sunday.)

Experience Muses and Inspirations: The Art of Vladimir and Gösta Iwasiuk through the eyes of Dr. Gösta Iwasiuk. Dr. Iwasiuk will reflect on the personal journey that led him to follow in his late father Vladimir’s footsteps as both a physician and an artist, and the inspirations behind their work. Muses and Inspirations is on view now thru May 10.
