D216 2025 By the Numbers (and What They Really Mean)
|
|
| As 2025 comes to a close, we’ve been taking a moment to zoom out, not just to look at the numbers, but to reflect on what those numbers actually represent. Because behind every event, every ticket, every late-night teardown and lingering conversation… there are people, this community.
This year wasn’t built by algorithms or hype. It was built by humans choosing to show up with curiosity, vulnerability, courage, and care.
And for that, we want to say thank you. ?
In 2025, District216 hosted 59 ticketed events, each in service of connection, education, and conscious community.
Across those events, more than 2,600+ tickets were sold, bringing thousands of moments of presence, learning, laughter, and deep conversation into shared space.
But the numbers alone don’t tell the whole story.
They tell us something is working — but what’s really happening is more subtle and powerful… People are hungry for thoughtful dialogue, for spaces that honor both science and spirit, and for community that doesn’t rush to answers, but sits honestly with the questions. |

| The District House is a benefit of District216. Come by for a portion or all of the evening, meet amazing members + guests, and interact with speakers on a variety of topics.
Topic: “Frog Medicine and the Prophecy Path: Reconnecting with the Spirit of the Jungle”
Description: A deep dive into the benefits of Kambo. It’s purgative and cleansing properties, its role in physical and emotional healing, and how it’s increasingly seen as a tool for deeper spiritual awakening. Tying in Indigenous prophecies about how these medicines are emerging now all over the Earth to help humanity find harmony and reconnection.
When: Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 5pm to 9pm (Speaker at 6:30pm)

Interactive Workshop: “Peace Sticks + Sacred Chocolate”
Description: Join us for a unique 2hr Peace Sticks event designed to explore the therapeutic and relational benefits of this beautiful, partner practice. As we come together to move, play, and connect, you’ll discover how Peace Sticks can be a powerful tool for cultivating mindfulness, presence, and authentic human connection.
In this Sa, we’ll dive into the ways that Peace Sticks can help reduce stress, improve coordination, and create a sense of flow and harmony between participants. We’ll also explore how the practice can deepen relationships by encouraging communication through energetic awareness, expanded trust, and playful interaction.
For those interested, we’ll also explore how enjoying chocolate in a safe and intentional way can complement the Peace Sticks experience, helping to open the mind and enhance the sense of wonder and flow. Bee Magic Sacred Chocolate will be available for those who desire to partake.

| We’ve launched a community-driven initiative to decriminalize and expand access to entheogenic plants and fungi within the City of Santa Barbara. Our mission is rooted in healing, education, and local political action — and we need your help to make it real. Why are we asking for your support?
We met with City Council members and they are most interested in issues that are most important to their constituents. Having a count of registered voters by Voting District will allow us to successfully persuade them of the importance to this community. The risk is lowered with decriminalization and we need your support to get this done.
Immediate Volunteer Opportunities
We’re looking for community members ready to share their time, skills, and energy:
- Advocates: Help mobilize supportive voters and increase turnout at local government meetings.
- Social Media Creators: Design shareable templates and assist with posting and outreach, messaging, website updates.
- Video Storytellers: Create short videos for city council meetings and social platforms.
- Data Analysts: Help us interpret data and craft persuasive, evidence-based messages.
Entheogenic plants and fungi — including psilocybin mushrooms, cacti, ayahuasca, and iboga — inspire deep healing and spiritual growth. Together, let’s decriminalize access to these natural medicines and foster a healthier, more compassionate community. |
