Ventura County Credit Union gifts $75,000 to the Health Care Foundation for Ventura County as part of 75th anniversary celebration
VENTURA COUNTY — Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU) has awarded a $75,000 donation to the Health Care Foundation for Ventura County, underscoring the importance of investing in organizations that enhance community well-being. This contribution is part of VCCU’s $750,000 giving campaign in honor of the credit union’s 75th anniversary.
The Health Care Foundation is the ninth nonprofit to receive funding through VCCU’s “Year of Giving” campaign. The ceremonial check presentation took place Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura.
“This contribution from VCCU comes at a critical time for our community. It will help us expand programs that serve our most vulnerable neighbors and equip our medical facilities with the tools necessary to deliver exceptional care,” said Amy Towner, CEO of the Health Care Foundation. “Together, we’re building a healthier, more equitable Ventura County where every resident can access the health care and education they deserve.”
The Health Care Foundation works to strengthen the Ventura County Health Care Agency’s capacity to deliver high-quality, affordable and compassionate care to all residents. VCCU’s donation will enable the Health Care Foundation to support Ventura County Medical Center, Santa Paula Hospital and the network of ambulatory clinics throughout the county.
“Community is a core value for VCCU, and that means being there when our neighbors need us,” said VCCU’s president and CEO, Linda Rossi. “The Health Care Foundation’s work perfectly aligns with our community values and we’re proud to step forward to support an organization that shares our commitment to caring for the community we all call home.”
Previous beneficiaries from the “Year of Giving” campaign include the Ventura County Family Justice Center Foundation, Food Share of Ventura County, Turning Point Foundation and Moorpark College Foundation.
VCCU plans to reveal its final 2025 donation recipient in December.
