| Fellows Get It Done!
|
Lyzette Cornejo, 2024 Fellow, organized hybrid workshops for recent and pending CSUCI Latinx graduates, many of whom are the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree. 
They learned financial empowerment skills, networking and mentoring, and leveraging their degrees for career development and upward mobility.
Nelson Hu and James Miller, 2024 Fellows, conducted weekly trainings in debate and typing
for students in under-resourced public schools. Basic typing skills prepare the students for high school, which often provides laptops and tablets. Debate is one method for empowering youth and strengthening their voices.
