Friendship Center — The Friendly Finch: July

Dear Families & Friends,

So, I have some news….

We didn’t hit our $50,000 goal for the 2025 Spring Appeal…..

WE SURPASSED IT by raising $52,000! You surpassed it! This was one of our most successful spring campaigns to date, and it couldn’t have come at a more important time. With membership levels and activity scheduling at an all-time high, your support is helping us meet the immediate, growing needs of our community. We received gifts from 106 generous donors, including:

  • One employer who matched their employee’s donation (learn more about employer matches here)
  • One business that donated proceeds from a fundraiser (contact about hosting your own peer fundraiser here)
  • A heartfelt 28 first-time donors who joined the Friendship Center family; welcome!

We’re also thrilled to share that we had 100% Board participation and received gifts from several current and former FC families. This was a community effort and it means the world to us that so many of you showed up when we needed you.

Because of your generosity, our doors remain open to all who need us. Whether it’s someone you know today or someone you’ll love tomorrow, your gift ensures we’ll be here when they need us most. You made that possible. Thank you.

And the fun isn’t over yet! Our next event is just around the corner; join us on July 18th at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club for a day of sunshine, champagne, and giving back. This event is hosted with love by the Uretz family, one of our beloved FC families, and tickets are available now! – PURCHASE TICKETS HERE

Let’s keep this amazing momentum going and keep showing up for each other, just like you did this spring.

With heartfelt thanks and excitement for what’s ahead,

Kathryn Westland,

MPH Executive Director
