| Our Summer Youth Fellowship is something special –
Carol (2023) reflected that it –
“developed my team working skills, increased my knowledge and was challenged to think critically, and discovered who I was and who could choose to be.”
Kelly (2023) shared that for her –
“it opened doors to develop skills and gain experiences that I have been able to apply now as a college student. But most importantly I was able to connect with the community and make close friends that continue to inspire me. It was a summer of fun and hard work. It’s an opportunity you don’t want to miss.”
Litzy (2023) uplifted that she –
“loved the experience and was grateful for the opportunity. It helped me spend my summer doing something productive and gave me the chance to better my community. That year, we did the Toxic Tour of Santa Maria, and I learned many things about my city I had never known – even after living there for 16 years. Needless to say that summer was really impactful for me.”
We work to raise enough money so that these truly unique opportunities – offered in neighborhoods where these kinds of professional job opportunities are scarce – can be paid fellowships every summer because we know our youth shouldn’t be held back from participating.
