Environmental Justice Through Grassroots Activism

WHEN: Thursday, May 29, 2025 | 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Join us for a community conversation about how on-the-ground action is driving environmental justice in Oxnard. Hear from MiniNature ReserveFounder Diego Magaña and Director of Outreach Solimar Gutierrez as they share powerful stories of community transformation — through their work restoring native ecosystems and expanding access to green spaces and fresh food. They will discuss important local environmental justice topics, including grassroots activism, guerrilla gardening, and food sovereignty.

Moderated by CEC Climate Stewards Cody Howen and Miranda Magana, this panel discussion will help you gain insights on local action and connect with your community.
