Big Savings on a New or Used EV

The Driving Clean Assistance Program (DCAP) helps income-eligible Californians save big on an EV lease or purchase, EV charging, and other clean transportation benefits.

DCAP Incentives

Clean Cars 4 All: Up to $12,000 to scrap and replace your qualified vehicle with an electric vehicle.

Financial Assistance: Up to $7,500 to purchase or lease a clean air vehicle when you scrap your car.
Charging Incentive: Up to $2,000 to cover the purchase and installation of in-home charging equipment or a charge card to access public charging stations.

Free DCAP Application Assistance Sessions

Through August, CEC is offering FREE in-person and virtual DCAP application assistance sessions. During the sessions, CEC associates will provide one-on-one support to help you complete your application.

How to Access Savings

  1. Fill out this form to see if you qualify and sign up for one of our in-person or virtual application assistance events. Our team will review your response and send you a list of required documents for your application if you qualify.

  2. Gather the list of documents needed for your application.

  3. Complete your DCAP application with us at one of our in-person or virtual application clinics!

At these events, climate activists, students, community partners, and friends gather to learn about regional climate change issues and how to take collective action to protect our planet. June’s gathering will focus on actions for a healthy ocean in preparation for World Oceans Day on June 8.
