Dear Neighbors,
This holiday season, you’re invited to join me in supporting the Spark of Love Toy Drive. Together, we can help bring some cheer to over 33,000 children in need right here in Ventura County! The Fire Departments of Ventura County and ABC7 have teamed up to make sure every child experiences the magic of the season.
I have learned that more volunteers are needed to help out at Toy Central in Camarillo! This is a great way to give some time to help make the season special for local kids in need.
? Toy Center Location: 135b West Ventura Blvd., Camarillo, CA 93010
(Target shopping center off Las Posas, between BevMo and Del Taco)
? Volunteer Shifts:
- Monday, 12/16 – 10 AM to 12 PM
- Tuesday, 12/17 – 2 PM to 4 PM
- Wednesday, 12/18 – 9 AM to 4 PM
- Thursday, 12/19 – 9 AM to 12 PM
Whether you have a couple of hours or a whole day, your time can make a world of difference for a child in need. If you plan to volunteer please email your rsvp with your name, number and shift to SupervisorGorell@ventura.org.
Not able to volunteer? No problem! There are other ways to support Spark of Love:
? Drop Off Donations: Bring new, unwrapped toys and nonperishable food to any Ventura County fire station, Ventura City Fire Headquarters, or participating business.
Find drop-off locations here.
? Donate Online: Support the effort directly with a tax-deductible donation via the Ventura Fire Foundation.
? Amazon Wish List: Purchase a gift through our Amazon Wish List, and it will be delivered straight to Toy Central.
Together, we can help make the holidays brighter for children across Ventura County.
Happy Holidays!
Jeff
