Ashley Yeh ’24 will go on to pursue a Ph.D. in neuroscience at Stanford School of Medicine. The Knight-Hennessy Program, established in 2018, provides fellows up to three years of tuition and a stipend for living and academic expenses.
The show features a wide range of art practices, including painting, video, performance and sculpture, to present research that is “on the cutting edge of contemporary artistic discourses that center identity, place, politics and poetics.”
A panel of experts from UCSB, UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University will address the historical context of reparations in the U.S., explain why they are being considered in California and provide an update on efforts across the state.
Charles Wolfe, of film and media studies, joins Patrice Petro, Dick Wolf Director of the Carsey-Wolf Center, for a pre-screening discussion of the film’s enduring legacy.
