December 22, 2021 – COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update
Since Monday, there are 288 new COVID-19 cases reported and 9,351 new tests performed. There are 68 people hospitalized, 10 in the ICU. There has been 1 additional death of a 45 year old male. Our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the community members who passed away. The R-effective for Ventura County is .95 which means the spread is likely stable.
77.9% of community members (ages 5+) have received one or more COVID vaccine doses.
71.4% of eligible community members have been fully vaccinated.
77.2% of community members 12+ have been fully vaccinated.

Need a ride to get a COVID vaccine?
  • Free Rides to COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments are available through Gold Coast Transit District’s GO ACCESS program. Must schedule a ride one day in advance by calling 805-485-2319.
  • The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging provides transportation services for older adults ages 60+ who have a scheduled appointment for testing or vaccine. Call 805-477-7300 to schedule a ride.

Request a Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic to your event or location at no cost. Businesses or organizations must have at least 35 people that would like to get vaccinated. Register by emailing grouptesting@covidclinic.org.
