one of these fun classes or events!
Art Class: Monotypes Using Gelatin Plates (Ages 16+)
Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 6 PM to 9 PM
Join teaching artist Mariann Romero inside the Museum’s Cole Creativity Center for a fast, fun, color-filled evening of printmaking! This class is perfect for all skill levels. You’ll learn how to make gelatin plates, and how to use a variety of tools to create expressive imagery in water-based inks. The cost of class is $45, and preregistration is required.
*As per Ventura County Public Health, face masks must be worn by all visitors, students and staff while inside the Museum.
Gallery Talk: The PAC6 Painters

There are only a few weeks left to catch the PAC6 Painters’ current exhibit, Vistas, Varmints and Vagabonds, at the Santa Paula Art Museum. On Saturday, October 30, the six artists will gather at the Museum to mark the final week of their show with a gallery talk. The talk is included with the cost of regular museum admission. Reservations are not required. Vistas, Varmints and Vagabonds is on view now through November 13.
Free Giveaway: Art To-Go Bags

The Museum’s education team will be giving away FREE Art To-Go Bags on Saturday, October 30, starting at 9:00 a.m. The free bags will be filled with fun art activities inspired by Dia de los Muertos! The bags will be available via a drive-thru pick up in the Museum’s back parking lot (while supplies last).
Art Class: Ceramics Image Transfer Workshop (Ages 16+)
Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 6 PM to 9 PM
Explore the art of monotype printmaking AND ceramics in a single workshop! Ceramic artist Patricia Keller will guide you through the process of designing, decorating, and constructing ceramic cups. After firing, you’ll take home your own uniquely designed cup. The cost of this workshop is $75, and preregistration is required.

Premiere Party: The 13th Annual Art About Agriculture Exhibit
Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 4 PM to 6 PM
Join us for the premiere of The 13th Annual Art About Agriculture exhibition, featuring 66 fresh works of art by 60 distinct artists. Art About Agriculture is presented annually by the Ag Art Alliance to promote awareness of agriculture—from workers to water, from machinery to fields, to the food that goes on our plates. Admission to the premiere party is $10 for SPAM members and $15 for non-members. All of the artworks in the exhibit will be available for purchase.
