El Supervisor – tipo burocrático recién exaltado a ángel; manipulador y personalidad alpha
Heriberto -80 años, de la costa caribeña de Colombia; deprimido, vive en el pasado
Maruca -80 años, de la costa caribeña de Colombia y viuda de Heriberto; recién difunto de alzheimer
Rafa -un ayudante celestial de origen Mexicano; serio, responsable
Uri -un ayudante celestial de origen Colombiano, pero antioqueño no costeño; vivaz, burlador y payaso
Gabi –un ayudante celestial de origén puertorriqueño; corazón grande, lengua aguda
La Angelita – una joven juguetona; experta en baile tropical
Synopsis:
Heriberto, an 80-year-old fisherman, has been dead for 50 years and is stuck in limbo, refusing to go to heaven until he reunites with his beloved wife, Maruca. On the day of her death, three novice angels attempt to help but plagued with Alzheimer’s; she does not recognize Heriberto. Heriberto, with the help of the angels, must try to awaken her memory, but how? Using the music of cumbia (of the 1940s and ’50s), the music they listened to during their courtship in Santa Marta, Columbia.
Rehearsals/Ensayos:
Rehearsals will begin the week of August 30th and run for eight weeks.
