Free Weekly Wellness Classes at
the Museum of Ventura County and the Agriculture Museum
Dear Community Member,
Join us this summer for Mindfulness at the Museum, new weekly free wellness classes outside in the gardens at the Museum of Ventura County and the Agriculture Museum in Santa Paula.
You can participate at the Museum of Ventura County (100 E. Main St., Ventura) on Thursdays from 4—5pm and at the Agriculture Museum (926 Railroad Ave., Santa Paula) on Saturdays from 10—11am in Santa Paula.
These classes provide fun and free activities for individuals and families. Beginners are encouraged to participate. All classes are free! Classes are limited and registration is required. MVC members get priority access.

Succulent Planting
Thursday, July 1 @ 4PM
Come celebrate the “Joy of Succulents” in this all-level class that will guide you through making your very own succulent arrangement. You will also learn the techniques of proper soil mixing geared towards succulents and cacti, proper watering to ensure happy and hydrated succulents, and all the while becoming familiar with the many beautiful varieties of succulents that you can grow in your very own yard!
All supplies will be provided.
Yoga

Melissa Kelly will be teaching an all level flow that will include modifications and focusing breath with movement. Props such as blocks or straps can be helpful but not necessary.
Please bring a mat, water, and any other props you may need for your practice.
A limited number of mats will be available if you don’t have one.
Tea Tasting

Join us for a journey through the world of herbal and caffeinated teas! We’ll explore a selection of summer teas that can be enjoyed hot or cold. We’ll learn about each individual tea as we work our way through the ten steps of tea tasting!
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Thursday, July 22 @ 4PM
All-Levels class that helps build strength and mobility in the joints, cultivate an increased sense of body awareness, and progressively open the body as you are guided through a strategically designed sequence that leads to a peak pose. Led with thoughtful cues and a mindful pace, this practice will deepen your connection with the classical asanas (postures) of yoga so you can reap their magnificent benefits. Props are welcome and modifications will be provided.

Meditation
Saturday, July 24 @ 10AM
Please join us in meditation to relax, let go, and be silent. My method for meditating combines psychology with the East, making it doable for all and rewarding to your mind and body’s health and well being. Set those apps aside and be in a group of people with focused positive energy outside in nature together. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, all are welcome.
Please bring a mat or something comfortable to sit on.

Rock Painting
Saturday, July 17 @ 10AM
In this class we will talk about different ways to paint rocks (without artistic ability), and where to hide/display the rocks. Let’s Paint and spread joy!
All supplies will be provided.
Zumba
Saturday, July 31 @ 10AM
Tonya Riehle has been a licensed Zumba instructor since 2011 and absolutely loves teaching Zumba classes. Come join Tonya for some fun fitness! She’ll teach to all levels with a moderate pace variety using a variety of rhythms.
Mindfulness at the Museum returns in August 2021! There will be more free yoga, meditation, painting, tea tasting, and plenty more classes. More information will be available in the coming weeks.
