Museum of Ventura County — With your support …

Dear MVC Supporter,
COVID-19…. Nearly every aspect of our daily lives is impacted. None of us is immune. We are living through unprecedented, historic times.
How will we remember the details of this life-altering experience? What will future residents learn about how Ventura County reacted to the crisis? Who will tell our grandkids the stories of our experience? The answer to those questions and the key to the historical records will be in the archives and the collection of the Museum of Ventura County. Such is the case with all of our county’s history.
No-one can collect and safeguard our history other than the Museum of Ventura County.
There is no doubt that the fallout from COVID-19 is financially devastating. In the case of the museum, we will not have any events this year, we will not be able to collect revenue through our various venues, and truthfully, we cannot rely on typical donor support. But those of us who worked so hard to right-size and reinvent our museum refuse to lose our momentum.
To attempt to ease the financial challenge, a group of us have banded together to provide support to allow the Museum to do its job now and in the weeks and months to come.
Our hope is that you will join us in supporting
the Museum now.
The amount of your gift is not as important as your support and encouragement. We would be proud to have you join our effort.
With your support, the Museum of Ventura County can continue to collect and preserve our history – including the history that is happening around us every day. It is imperative that we act now to gather the stories – images, documents, articles, artifacts – that tell the story of how our community responded to an unprecedented crisis; and our museum, your museum is doing exactly that.
As the crisis continues, the Museum’s job to collect stories has become even more urgent. We realize the importance.
Hopefully, you will be able to join us with
anything you are able.
Sincerely,
Bill Kearney
