Free First Sunday takes place at both the Museum of Ventura County and the Agriculture Museum on May 5, 2019!
Join us at the Agriculture Museum on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to participate in free crafts activities led by museum staff and docents. Have you ever enjoyed the built landscape of Santa Paula and thought, “There are so many cool buildings here, it would be great to learn more about them”? Now is your chance! Following crafts, hear from architectural historian, author, and photographer John Nichols from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
John Nichols’ presentation will include historic photos of buildings from the 1890s through the present day. Nichols has curated exhibits and published multiple books, including Santa Paula Through Time. Nichols says, “Santa Paula has more historic architecture than any town in Ventura County.”
