SANTA BARBARA — 2019 is shaping up to be a great year for young women at SBCC who are interested in space exploration. NASA has selected seven SBCC students to travel to various NASA centers this summer to participate in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) onsite experience. Once there, students will intereact with engineers, develop a prototype rover and learn about careers in science and engineering.

Those selected include one student from the STEM Transfer Program, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and six students in the MESA program (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement). We look forward to hearing about their experiences upon their return!
