Volunteer Opportunities Available at the Museum of Ventura County

VENTURA — The Museum of Ventura County is seeking volunteers to assist with tours, events, and programs, which cover the diverse culture, art, history and interests of Ventura County. The Museum has openings at both the Ventura and Santa Paula (Agriculture Museum) locations for volunteers to participate in educational programs, events and visitor services. Training and mentoring will be provided.

“It is a very exciting time to get involved at the Museum,” said Linda Kimbrough, the President of the Museum’s Volunteer Docent Council. “The opportunities to get to work behind the scenes are just phenomenal. The events, the programs, and the projects are new and innovative and great fun to be a part of.”

“The Museum has a mandate from the local community to create a robust cultural hub for Ventura County,” said Elena Brokaw, Barbara Barnard Smith Executive Director. “Our dedicated volunteer staff has been essential to the revitalization of the museum this past year by enriching our programs, educational tours, and exhibits.
