Register for Summer Classes at the Cole Creativity Center!
In summer 2018, the Santa Paula Art Museum will launch a new Studio Art Program in its newly renovated Cole Creativity Center for children, teens and adults! The Summer Studio Art Program for children will introduce various materials, concepts, and techniques designed to challenge a child’s imagination and ability while providing opportunities for playful exploration.
Our adult studio program offers courses in a variety of media and topics, from one-time workshops to in-depth series. Courses are led by professional teaching artists and are designed for beginners as well as seasoned artists. Gallery Talk: Ventura County Arts Council

Saturday, April 14, 2018, 2pm to 3pm

Ventura County Arts Council Director of Development Craig Rosen will share all the ways in which the VC Arts Council supports art and artists in our county. Guests of the talk can also learn more about how they can get involved in the VC Arts Council. Admission to the talk is included with regular museum admission, which is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free for students and museum members.
Free Family Day:
A Reptile Adventure

Sunday, April 22, 2018, 12pm to 4pm

On Sunday, April 22, bring your family and friends to “Free Family Day: A Reptile Adventure!” Visitors are invited to explore the Museum’s current exhibitions, participate in hands-on art workshops, and challenge one another to a digital game of “I Spy.” Plus, experience the wonder and excitement of reptiles, amphibians and arachnids during the “Reptile Family” show at 2:00 p.m. Admission to the event is free for everyone.

Artist Ray Harris

Saturday, April 28, 2018, 2pm to 4pm

Ventura artist Ray Harris will share how his 25-year career in animation influenced his fine art and philosophy. Harris’ presentation will also include a live drawing and painting demonstration. The talk further explores the theme of Setting the Scene, the Museum’s current exhibition of fine artists who worked in Golden Age Hollywood. Admission to the talk is included with regular museum admission, which is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free for students and museum members.
