CARPINTERIA — Girls Inc. of Carpinteria will present its eighth annual Mariachi Encuentro featuring Mariachi Divas from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9 at the Girls Inc. of Carpinteria campus, 5315 Foothill Road, Carpinteria.
Coinciding with Mother’s Day, Mariachi Encuentro is an evening of authentic food, music and cultural celebration featuring dinner, drinks and live entertainment by the Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Divas, an ethnically diverse, all-female ensemble.
“Mariachi Encuentro is a wonderful occasion to celebrate Mexican culture and dance to live, award-winning music, while helping to make a difference in the lives of local girls,” Victoria Juarez, executive director of Girls Inc. of Carpinteria, stated in a media release. “Mariachi raises critical funds for Girls Inc. so that we can continue to grow our programs and nurture local girls to become confident and self-sufficient, inspiring them to reach their full potential.”
Tickets are $40 for bleacher seating, $50 for reserved seating and $60 for preferred seating. Each purchase includes dinner.
