VENTURA COUNTY — Clinicas del Camino Real Inc. will host events in honor of National Women’s Health Week — May 12-18, the health care provider reported Friday in a media release.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, Clinicas invites the Ventura Community to join them for a health fair at Flory Academy of Science and Technology, 240 Flory Ave., Moorpark. Clinicas will offer free health screenings including cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, dental and vision.
The Ventura county community can visit any of the 14 Clinicas Health Centers throughout the region during the week and participate in many of the free activities being offered.
The theme for Women’s Health Week is “It’s Your Time.”
Clinicas wants women to make their health a top priority, the organization reported. Too often women will put everyone else’s needs before their own. However, not this week because Clinicas is helping women make their health a priority by offering information and presentations on oral health, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, nutrition, prenatal care and healthy lifestyles. Also, free health screenings are being offered including blood pressure, glucose, BMI, bone density, anemia, vision & dental screenings as well as pregnancy testing.
In order to remind women to take time out for themselves, during Women’s Health Week, several Clinicas locations will also be providing Facials, manicures, and will be teaching makeup application techniques and exercise classes.
