CAMARILLO — The Fire Departments of Ventura County are teaming up with Ventura County’s Health Care Agency to bring cheer to children in hospital by delivering toys while ramping up their repelling techniques through the Spark of Love Toy Drive. Santa is scheduled to descend from the roof of the Ventura County Medical Center on Monday, Dec. 18 to bring cheer to children at the hospital’s pediatric and pediatric intensive care units.
Ventura County Medical Center, the west county’s designated level 2 trauma center, is home to a pediatric unit, the county’s first neonatal intensive care unit, and the county’s only pediatric intensive care unit.
This special event is part of the annual Spark of Love Toy Drive. Spark of Love helps at-need Ventura County children and teens enjoy a happier holiday season. This unique community campaign collects new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for underserved children and teens in Ventura County.
Community members can bring a new, unwrapped toy, sports equipment, and non-perishable food to any fire station or participating business listed on our website at vcfd.org/sparkoflove to be donated to local children and teens vcfd.org/sparkoflove to be donated to local children and teens, now through December 21, 2021.
