From Field to Frame: The PAC6 Show How It’s Done
|
|
On view now through Sunday, July 7, 2024
There are less than four weeks left to see “From Field to Frame: The PAC6 Show How It’s Done” at the Santa Paula Art Museum. PAC6 is a group of six women artists from Southern California who travel and paint together across the country. The artists are Linda Brown, Marian Fortunati, Nita Harper, Debra Holladay, Laura Wambsgans, and Sharon Weaver.
The exhibition, which marks ten years of collaboration for PAC6, features over 70 original paintings showcasing the group’s favorite plein air painting locations across California and the Southwest. Scenes include the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley in Arizona, the Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur along the California coast, and Yosemite and Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada.
The exhibit also offers a peek behind the creative processes of PAC6. Each of the six artists shares examples of the distinct stages in their artistic process, from plein air paintings and sketches executed on location to larger, companion pieces created in the studio. All of the artworks are available for purchase.
While we recommend seeing “From Field to Frame” in person, enjoy this abbreviated look at the exhibition in your inbox!
