“Kiah’s expertise in impact ventures and governance is invaluable to the work we do and our food system will be more resilient because of his leadership.” said SBCFAN Executive Director Shakira Miracle. “From designing alternative financing structures for critical food systems projects to providing financial guidance for the organization, Kiah is helping the Network connect, align, and activate food system actors with sustainable sources of financial investment that will strengthen economic resiliency countywide.” She went on to describe Jordan’s new role as Chair as essential to building the long-term financial sustainability and growth plan of SBCFAN and our local food system.

“Although our county is rich in agricultural exports, we suffer from the same issues of food inequity as our fellow California counties,” said Jordan. I’m excited to follow the great work of the 2016 Food Action Plan and support the unification and strengthening of our local food system members.”
