SANTA MARIA — More than 300 Pioneer Valley High School freshmen defined their future in the world with progress report success during the pandemic.
The freshmen arrived on campus Monday for a special physically distanced drive-through visit. The PVHS Link Crew and staff made sure each student who passed all their classes received a “Today is a Great Day to Change the World!” t-shirt and a round of applause.
“We are proud of our students who have transferred from middle school to high school successfully,’’ said Principal Shanda Herrera. “Go Panthers!”
SMJUHSD School Board Member Dr. Jack Garvin agreed, adding, “Congratulations are due and remaining positive in these unusual times is key.’’
